Difference between Medical practices

The systems of Siddha and Ayurveda are very much similar. In both the systems, the basis of treatment is the three-element theory or `tridosha' (three humours) — vatha (air), pitta (bile) and kapha (phlegm) — essential for existence of an individual. It is believed that an imbalance of these three elements causes diseases.

Allopath is totally different from the Indian system of medicine and Allopath is believed to be medicine for the modern age.

Tamil Medicine provides treatment and relief from symptoms of the ailment. The treatment does not have any specific anti-biotic oriented medical system. There is no form of surgical cure.

Tamil Medicine, though claimed to have no side effects, many a times does fail in its claim.
